Thematic Exploration of Freedom and Peace in Alisher Navoi’s “Saddi Iskandarii”

This article explores the thematic elements of freedom and peace in Alisher Navoi’s epic “Saddi Iskandarii,” a critical work within the 15th-century literary golden age. Despite extensive studies on Navoi’s contributions, the specific exploration of these themes within this epic remains under-examined. Utilizing a qualitative content analysis method, the study systematically examines the text to uncover how Navoi portrays freedom and peace through his characters and narratives. The findings reveal that Navoi intricately intertwines these themes with his philosophical and socio-political views, emphasizing their importance for individual and societal well-being. The results suggest that Navoi’s work offers profound insights into the universal quest for freedom and peace, with implications for understanding historical and contemporary socio-political contexts
