Hormonal Concentrations During Different Monthly Groups in Iraqi Mares

Abstract

The aim of the study is to study the concentration of reproductive hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, progesterone, and melatonin) in Iraqi mares, for three different monthly groups. The results showed a decrease in the significant level (P<0.05) of the progesterone hormone during the (Feb., March, April), and also showed a significant increase (P<0.05) in the levels of both follicle-stimulating hormone and the luteinizing hormone during the (May, June, July), while there was no significant difference (P<0.05) in the levels of the melatonin  hormone during the period of study.
