However, many higher education institutions in Nigeria still rely heavily on fossil-fuel generators and unstable national grid electricity, which contribute to carbon emissions and environmental degradation. The continued use of diesel and petrol generators increases greenhouse gas emissions and worsens climate change. As global attention shifts toward sustainability, tertiary institutions are increasingly expected to adopt clean and renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, and hybrid renewable systems. This paper discusses strategies for enhancing the adoption of clean energy in Nigerian tertiary institutions. The study highlights practical approaches including government policy support, renewable energy infrastructure development, institutional funding mechanisms, public–private partnerships, research and innovation initiatives, energy management systems, awareness creation, and capacity building. Evidence from renewable energy projects in Nigerian universities shows that solar installations can provide reliable electricity, reduce carbon emissions, and improve academic productivity. For instance, solar energy initiatives implemented under the Energising Education Programme have provided uninterrupted electricity to several universities, benefiting hundreds of thousands of students and staff. The paper concludes that adopting clean energy in tertiary institutions can enhance energy security, reduce operational costs, support environmental sustainability, and promote innovation in renewable energy research. Therefore, coordinated efforts by government, institutional leaders, and private sector partners are necessary to accelerate the transition to clean energy across Nigerian campuses.
Ayodele Ebunolu Nwisagbo Amachree Telema Gbeke Ibiene Kalagbor Copyright (c) 2026 Web of Synergy: International Interdisciplinary Research Journal 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 5 2 7 14 Improving Scientific-Methodological Work As A Means of Increasing The Quality of Education https://journal.univerpublishing.org/index.php/synergy/article/view/3518
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the theoretical and methodological foundations, practical mechanisms, and contemporary trends of enhancing scientific and methodological work as a strategic factor in improving the quality of education. Against the backdrop of reforms implemented in the Uzbek education system between 2016 and 2024, the effectiveness of scientific and methodological activities has been assessed on the basis of empirical data. The study systematises six main directions for scientific and methodological work in educational institutions, quantitatively analyses teachers' indicators of scientific activity, and examines international experience using a comparative method. The educational models of leading countries such as Finland, South Korea, Singapore and Kazakhstan were analysed, and recommendations tailored to the Uzbek context were developed. The main findings show that in educational institutions where scientific and methodological activities are well-organised, the average attainment of pupils and students increased by 18.4 per cent, Analysis of the experimental schools confirmed that the professional competence of teachers was 26.3 per cent higher. The 206 per cent increase in the number of Scopus and Web of Science articles in Uzbekistan between 2019 and 2024 was assessed as a positive outcome of the education-science integration policy. The article is of practical importance to the heads of educational institutions, methodologists, teacher-researchers, and education policy-making bodies.
Nazarov Erkin Sadikovich Ismatova Madina Akmal kizi Copyright (c) 2026 2026-05-20 2026-05-20 5 2 15 24 School Principals' Strategies for Effectively Organizing the Development of Leadership Qualities in Senior Female Students https://journal.univerpublishing.org/index.php/synergy/article/view/3520
This article examines strategic approaches employed by general education school principals in organizing a system for developing leadership qualities in senior female students. The necessity of creating a management model focused on identifying girls' leadership potential, establishing conditions for its realization, and providing sustainable support within the educational environment is substantiated. The article demonstrates that the success of this work depends on the professional competence of the school principal, the ability to build partnerships with the teaching staff, families, and public organizations, as well as the implementation of innovative pedagogical technologies. Key directions of strategic management are explored: analysis of the educational environment, goal-setting, organizational design, participant motivation, outcome monitoring, and strategy adjustment. The conclusion is drawn that the systematic work of school principals contributes to the development of initiative, responsibility, communicative culture, and readiness for active civic participation among senior female students.
D.S.
