Institutional Foundations of Innovative Economic Development in Uzbekistan

The article provides a systematic analysis of the institutional foundations for the innovative development of Uzbekistan’s economy. It highlights the subjects, objects, and mechanisms of the national innovation system, as well as the role of political, economic, social, and science–technology institutions in determining the effectiveness of their interaction. The stages of institutional reforms, their content, institutional gaps, and existing challenges are examined. Recommendations are given for improving the institutional foundations to accelerate innovative development.
