Abstract

This article examines the linguodidactic aspects of proverbs in English and Uzbek languages. The study analyzes the linguistic, semantic, and cultural characteristics of proverbs and explores their role in language teaching and learning. Particular attention is paid to the comparative analysis of English and Uzbek proverbs, their similarities and differences, and their contribution to the development of communicative and intercultural competence. The research highlights the educational value of proverbs as authentic teaching materials that enrich vocabulary, improve language skills, and enhance cultural awareness.
