Abstract

This article examines ecolinguistic approaches to foreign language education in higher education. It highlights the relationship between language, discourse, ecological consciousness, and sustainability-oriented communication within modern educational contexts. The study emphasizes the pedagogical significance of ecolinguistics in developing critical discourse awareness, ethical communication, and socially responsible interaction among students. The findings demonstrate that ecolinguistic approaches substantially expand the conceptual and communicative dimensions of foreign language education and contribute to the development of sustainability-oriented and critically conscious language learning practices in higher education.
