Abstract

In the practice of designing and constructing shell-type coatings, along with shells of zero and positive Gaussian curvature, negative Gaussian curvature shells outlined on the surface of a hyperbolic paraboloid were distributed, which became abbreviated as "hyper". Such shells made of monolithic reinforced concrete, as well as other building materials, were built in the former Soviet Union and abroad.
